Sport Logo Critique.

Below in my last blog i uploaded 3 logo concepts for my Japanese Novelty sport Beetle Battle.
The name for my sports team is called the Aggressive Armor. The name originated from my Greek hero, Hercules, and from the stories that had been written about him there was a story about him defeating a wild feral Lion. The lions skin was apparently un-penetrable, so hercules then striped it from the beast and used it's skin as armor. I also chose the sport beetle battle because it was a very un-popular sport and chose to give it a bit of spot light. As well there is such thing as a Hercules beetle so i thought what a great combo. So below in the previous blog you will see my three logos.

The first logo is a black and white shield logo. I portrayed as the top view of a beetle as the shield and then tried to incorporate the face or facial features of Hercule's beast on the beetle. I didn't know what to do with the type, so I just had it wrapped around in a scroll going across the imagery and then had the left over text curve at the bottom.

The second logo i had used the same imagery as the first concept, but had added colour to it. i used an orange from the colour of the wild beast that hercules strangled, incorporating the fur from the beast. The brown colour comes from the club that Hercules roamed around with, the club symbolizes power, might, and strength. As for the type I wrapped it around the imagery to show it more as a shield like logo.

The third logo was trying incorporate all f the elements, so Hercules, the Beast and even beetles. I used Hercules beetle silhouettes as shoulder pads for the armor. I tried to incorporate hercules by having his beard noticeable. For the helmut I incorporated the Beast as the helmet. I wasn't too sure how I was going to lay out the text, but it would probably be underneath or on top with a impactive, strong bold font.
