Typography:

Typography is the art and process of setting and arranging types and printi
ng from them. You can arrange type and letters to arrange to form a piece of work which display the principals and elements of design. Type can also been used just as type for a magazine or poster lay out, thats used for body copy. Type can be manipulated in many ways just by using normal tec
hniques like tracking, leading, point size etc. Or it can manipulated in illustrator by creating outlines and manipulating each individual letter. You can also out line the in
dividual letter or stretch it which can make some fantastic effects.

One artist who uses this theme is the New Zealand designer Dean Poole. He had used type to design an identity for these lawyers. The identity is just basically the font helvetica and then further on in the
identity they only use and RGB colour scheme with the letters. I like the thought that just having something real basic can display and make such an impact and be that recognizable, which makes it successful.

Another artist who uses typography is a Melbournian Typographer Wayne Thompson. What Wayne does is that he creates type font families. He creates a few of his families by them just starting off as hand written. Then he scans them in, re traces them
and inks it in so they are all structured. Then he scans them in again an the further manipulates them in illustrator after live tracing them. Then has to kern then and then they get created into a proper font.

Illustration/ hand drawn:

Ghost Patrol: Ghost patrol is a Melbournian artist whose style is very individual, noticeable
and really raw. his motifs are mainly about little characters that he creates which are infused
with animals and his own imagination and creativity. He artwork nearly portrays scenes of fairy tale or children's stories by the way he displays his characters interacting with animals. His style and message of his work also mean that the tools of art can be his canvas of work. as he uses pencils as a canvas. Ghost patrol uses pencil, ink, screen printing, markers and paint as his media for his artwork.

Stuart Campbel
l is an Tasmanian born artist who used to produce interactive programs for the Australian Army Defense. But now creates an online interactive comic, using nothing but his own drawings, talent and skill. Stuart's online comic is called Nawlz where it is a city created by him which is extremely futuristic and really out there. All of the art in Nawlz are Stuart's own illustrations and ideas and work. His illustration style is close to realistic with a hint of abnormality. The like are very wavey and streaky to create movement.

Concept Evaluation:

Robyn Beeche was a Sydney born Photographer who moved to London. Her concepts and techniques of taking photos are unique and are still are mesmerizing today.

Her concept was mainly taking photos of portraits. She had different themes to her work, such and Fantasy, Egyptian, Traveling, 80's, Fashion, Shapes, Geometry, Shadows, Arrows, Geishas and much more. Everything that you see or notice in every picture of hers, was every element was one the model and nothing was ever computer enhanced. They couldn't computer enhance any thing because they didn't have that type of technology back then. When you see her photos you can't believe that they were taken exactly taken in the way its presented. all of the models, props and background were all placed in that arranged position, which were captured as photos.

For example, with the photo straight below, its was taken with the shadows painted on the model. They then later got a got two doubles of the photo then placed them one in front of the other. All the make up was done by a professional artist and friend of hers.

In my opinion I believed she was a successful artist with the amount of photos that she had taken, as well as she started off as a small photographer. Then got renowned to take such magnificent photos, just by her techniques and arrangement of objects that she used and had.
